The Vicenza Club for Unesco continues the international debate on art graphics by proposing, for this third edition of Mirror - Face to face, the works of Italian and Chilean artists.

Italian artists’ art works have been compared in the last previous editions to the other Macedonian and Estonian artists. Now it’s up to Chile, a Country with strong contrasts, like its climates and its extreme landscapes, showing itself with its character, roots and anxieties. It is still up to us to open ourselves to the other, looking for traces of identity, correspondences and suggestions.

A mirror is a gateway between the real and the imaginary worlds. A comparison between eyes and gaze, outward appearance and inner reality; a movement between the act of seeing (reflecting) and understanding (making the spectators think). It reveals what is beyond the painting, expanding space and offering different perceptional possibilities to the observer.

The exhibition is curated by Valeria Bertesina, project leader (also curator of Biennal Di Carta Papermade, International Paper Artworks Biennal, Schio, Vicenza) and Manuel Marchant Rubilar (Architect UCV - Visual Artist, member of Talle 99) who are in charge, respectively, of the Italian and Chilean artists selection.

Mirror - Face to face follows the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the promotion of the diversity of cultural expressions and the 2005 Council of Europe Convention on the Value of Cultural Heritage for Society.

Some students from Liceo Artistico Statale A. Canova will take part in the exhibition.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue edited by Nerocromo, Caosfera Edizioni.
